Traded Services costs ready reckoner
The ready reckoner below allows you to calculate the amount you need to charge per participant to cover your staffing and other costs in delivering OnLineInset courses. Step 1 will give you the cost per participant exclusive of licence fees and any profit you intend to make over and above staffing costs.
Please enter the following information for one cohort of course participants:
- Admin hours (the time spent in administration in setting up the cohort, typically 1 – 2 hours). Please note that the calculator has 30 minutes tutor time per participant already built in.
- Face to face hours (the number of hours spent in face to face meetings with the cohort, usually between 1½ to 4 ½ hours)
- Added costs (e.g. room hire)
- No. of participants per cohort (typically between 8 and 16)
- Tutor hourly rate (typically between £50 and £70)
